An Associate in Arts & Sciences degree completed at WCC allows students to transfer to a four-year university to complete their bachelor's degree. In this program, a student can work on their General University Requirements (GUR's) while completing the prerequisite classes necessary for their major at a university. WCC offers individualized transfer advising to prepare for a specific major at a U.S. 4-year institution.
From the first day that they arrive at Whatcom, international students work closely with their International Student Advisor to develop their academic plan. Throughout their education at Whatcom, international students are involved in quarterly academic advising to complete the necessary courses in preparing for their major when they transfer to a university.
